Teapot

A decent Tea Pot is a very important item for any true tea lover. Here at Moville pottery we have been using the same design since we started in 1976. Our founder Lowry Wasson spent a lot of time researching what was needed to make the perfect pot. He made a lot of trial designs before coming up with the ideal shape.

All our tea pots are hand thrown on the potter’s wheel. They are made up of four separate components, the body, the sprout, the handle & the lid.

Stoneware clay is ideal for these pots as it retains the heat & therefore gives a better brew. Our hand thrown spouts also pour well & the pots are a joy to use.
